During the last couple of months your have watched and read my pregnancy “story” and seen all the milestones on the blog. After making the announcement, there are ultrasounds, revealing the gender, choosing a name, maternity photos, decorating the nursery and a baby shower. I realized that with the event of my baby shower last weekend, all of the major milestones have been met, leaving only Cohen’s birth to make this story complete. With the flood of emotions running through me its hard to believe my sweet little boy will be here in 2 weeks or less!
Last weekend, my Mom and Sister Justine hosted the most amazing baby shower for us. We were blessed to be surrounded by an abundance of family and friends who came from near and as far as Massachusetts and California to shower us with love and support. I am still completely in awe of how much effort and hard work they put into everything and wanted to share!
On Saturday I walked into the most beautifully decorated and put together baby shower I have ever seen! I couldn’t believe all the love, hard work and planning put into this day. Everything was PERFECT, from hints of elephants throughout and the themed foods to correspond with a themed book. “Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs” was sitting with the famous Mastrangelo meatballs, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” was a gorgeous fruit display created to look just like the book cover even the most perfect “Goodnight Moon” chicken and tuna salad sandwiches! I wandered around my mom’s house in awe of everything and that was just the main food table!
The dessert table was beautifully done with the theme of “If you Give” from the donut display and book of “If You Give A Dog A Donut” and my beautiful cake and cupcake display with “If You Give A Cat A Cupcake” to the cutest favors with “If yYou Give A Mouse A Cookie” She created all the tags and donut flags in addition to the beautiful tissue paper/lantern floating centerpiece!
My sister created the most beautiful banner displaying his name and adorning it with the cutest baby essentials. She also made all the gorgeous chalkboard signs welcoming you to the shower and even a little peanut sign that would match his vintage/elephant themed nursery; the detail is absolutely amazing. I’m definitely going to have to find a space in his nursery for all her creations!
My one regret is that I didn’t take photos! I was silly to think that I could greet guests, mingle and snap shots of everyone along the way. Besides what we shot at the beginning and end, I didn’t leave with many photos. Here are the few I did get with the help of my mom, sister and cousin Bri.
One of my very best friends surprised me by flying in all the way from California! I bawled like a baby when I saw her!
Thank you to all my friends and family for traveling from near and far to shower us with so much love! Cohen is defiantly one spoiled and very loved little boy already!
