I first met Sarah + Tom on a cold snowy day back in December 2013. We sat around drinking coffee talking all about their wedding plans. I always try to get an idea of what my couples’ themes and wedding colors will be. I immediately loved their idea for colors. Gold goes with about every color you want to pair it with, but one of my absolute favorite colors to pair it with is mint. It was a funny coincidence that I just happened to be wearing her wedding colors during our initial meeting and at that moment we knew we clicked.

Sarah + Tom had an absolutely gorgeous wedding at Raspberry Plain in Leesburg, VA. There were so many lovely little DIY details scattered throughout the day. I adored the arbor they had made for their photo booth and their custom corn hole games they had for guests to enjoy during cocktail hour. Meanwhile we had fun running around the property for their portraits. They didn’t even bat an eye when I suggested we sneak away from the reception to capture some amazing sunset photos. Sarah + Tom were two of the most out-going and sweetest people I have ever had the pleasure of photographing. It was so much fun to spend the day with them as they were full of love, life and creative energy the whole time. Gorgeous light, lots of laughter, a warm and welcoming family, and some truly moving speeches made the day fly by.
